Why freight?
Kayaks are oversize and ship LTL (less-than-truckload) on a pallet from our Citrus Heights warehouse. Base rate $449 covers curbside-residential delivery within the Western US; each additional kayak adds $179 (consolidated pallet). Liftgate service ($45) and inside-delivery ($95) are optional add-ons selectable at checkout. A required shipping insurance fee (2.5% of merch, $19-$179) covers transit damage or loss — claims paid in 7 days. Pickup at the Citrus Heights showroom is always free and skips both fees.
